CY 2023 EFARS for ISE regular, research, and A/P faculty
2023 COE EFARS are due to ISE by Friday, February 23, 2024.
Send your EFAR in pdf to anakata@vt.edu
The Header (Name, Department, Position) and several sections of SECTION TWO Accomplishments for CY 2023 are generated from the entries in the Elements. SECTION ONE Professional plan for CY 2024, some SECTION TWO, and THREE Narrative report will be typed manually in the generated eFAR (in Word).

1. Download CoE eFAR Instructions ("template") at the VT Library site or UDC website (open How to download instructions at UDC website), or from this page on the right ("coe far Extended Elements.docx" or "coe far Limited Elements.docx").
2. Read the Instructions.

- Ignore the 5th category "Records of impact" for CY 2023 EFARs
1. Generate eFAR report (in Word) at udc.vt.edu (open How to generate eFAR)
Once a Word version of eFAR report is generated:
2. Verify the content
- Name, Department, Position
- SECTION ONE (headings only)
- SECTION TWO (some items populated from Elements in STEP 2)
- SECTION THREE (headings only)
3. Correct data (if necessary) in SECTION TWO via Elements
4. Repeat the above until data in SECTION TWO in eFAR report appears accurately.
Complete eFAR by manually typing the content in the generated eFAR (in Word)
