John McKnight is President of Kollmorgen Engineered Solutions. Technologies present in the Engineered Solutions division include rotary and linear motors, electronic drives and controls. Products are sold into the Aerospace & Defense, Elevator, Fork Truck, Semiconductor, Automated Guided Vehicle, Electronic Assembly, Medical, Hybrid and general Industrial and Commercial markets. He joined Danaher in 2001 as a Program Manager and has held various Marketing and General Management roles prior to his current position. Prior to joining Danaher he held roles in Operations and Sales & Marketing with Takata Inc., a Tier 1 automotive restraint systems provider.

John earned a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Virginia Tech in 1991 and is a 2001 graduate of the MMM program at Northwestern University, earning an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a MEM from the McCormick School of Engineering. John is a past member of the Danaher China Board of Management, as well as the Advisory Board for the Grado Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Virginia Tech.
