Stephen T. Fields is an Industrial and Systems Engineer for the Architecture, Engineering, & Asset Management Branch, Facilities Management & Services Division, Office of Administration & Resources Management (OARM), United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Mr. Fields serves as a staff engineer providing planning, design, and construction management for repairs and improvements and new construction at EPA's offices and laboratories. He manages facilities-related projects, ensuring that technical input is valid and consistent with professional and industry standards. He provides EPA management with updates on developing issues as they arise.

Mr. Fields also worked for Secretary Tommy Thompson in the Office of the Secretary for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. He coordinated information flow between the Secretary and outside groups (e.g., World Health Organization). He provided daily updates on pertinent health events and/or incidents to HHS management. He was an Environmental Protection Specialist for the Office of Emergency Management, Office of Solid Waste and Emergency Response (OSWER), EPA. He also was an Environmental Engineer for the Office of Underground Storage Tanks, OSWER, EPA. Mr. Fields was also a Mechanical Engineer for the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) of the U.S. Department of the Navy. Mr. Fields worked in the Signatures Directorate, Carderock Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center. Mr. Fields is a member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers, the National Society of Professional Engineers, the District of Columbia Society of Professional Engineers, and the Society of American Military Engineers. Mr. Fields was the recipient of the prestigious 2003-2004 American Petroleum Institute/National Groundwater Association Scholarship for his dissertation research. He also was selected to receive the 2007-2008 Cambridge Who's Who Award for Business Professionals.
