Ergonomic interns at Toyota in Georgetown, KY

Working with Safety Team Members to implement safety solutions to prevent injuries to Toyota Team Members and contractors at Toyota’s US manufacturing and logistics locations. Toyota Safety Co-ops will get experience in any of the following areas of Safety:

  • General Safety
  • Machine/Robot Safety
  • Electrical Safety
  • Ergonomics 

CO-OP QUALIFICATIONS (additional information in Word)

  • Working toward degree in Safety, Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial), Human Factors/Ergonomics, or other relevant degree
  • Sophomore or above classification at time co-op begins.
  • Minimum 2.7 GPA
  • Available for two co-op assignments
  • Have available, reliable transportation
  • Work overtime as required.
  • Have unlimited authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Global mindset and geographical flexibility.
  • Excellent communication / interpersonal skills.

Industrial Engineering interns at Walt Disney Parks & Resorts in Orlando, FL or Anaheim, CA

Walt Disney Parks and Resorts is currently looking for Industrial Engineering interns with a wide range of experience and Spring 2024 availability.

The Industrial Engineering teams at Disneyland® Resort and Walt Disney World® Resort provide analytical decision-making support to executive management and operations. They handle multiple project assignments on an ongoing basis that contribute to improvements in Guest Satisfaction, Cast Excellence and/or operational/financial results.

We are looking for strong candidates who have a passion for Industrial Engineering and Disney. We need candidates who are versed in all areas of Industrial Engineering, from capacity/demand analysis to simulation/OR to process improvement. They must also have strong interpersonal skills since we are internal consultants at Disney and must be able to interact with all levels of the organization. Proof of eligibility for employment within the United States on a permanent basis is required for all positions.

Industrial Engineering Professional Internship – Spring 2024 (Jan 2024 to May 2024)
Candidates must be currently enrolled in an Industrial Engineering or related program with an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher. Please note: Disneyland ® Resort and Walt Disney World® Resort have intern/co-op positions year round (Summer, Fall/Winter, Spring) and many students return for multiple terms.

  • Continuously applies lean methods of the Schaeffler Production System (SPS) to improve efficiency and effectiveness for an organizational area assigned, e.g. a production segment.
  • Supports the application of the Lean Management standards within the SPS.
  • Deploys and trains all Lean Management methods and knowledge. Contributes to the continuous improvement of the SPS and shares best practices.
  • Plans and facilitates workshops and summarizes the results achieved.
  • Reports the review status of the SPS implementation status in the own unit.
