We are excited to introduce a newly implemented initiative within the ISE Department, the VT ISE Class Coordinators Initiative! The aim of this program is to accomplish three main goals: strengthen ISE alumni networks and encourage alumni engagement through social media and events, help facilitate ISE alumni communication for Departmental news and events, and establish new channels for supporting and giving back to the ISE Department.
This initiative actually started back in 2010 but was more formally launched in Spring 2017, following the 2017 Torgersen Leadership Summit in Februrary, as there were many ISE alumni from all over the East Coast who participated in this event. As of now, each graduating class year between 2010 and 2016 has up to two Class Coordinators, whose role is to lead and facilitate the communication within their own graduating class. Whether it’s helping to distribute this ISE Connections Alumni Newsletter, connecting alumni together who share similar interests, or organizing social events, we feel this is an excellent opportunity for alumni to stay connected to each other and the ISE Department.
If you would like to learn more about this Class Coordination Initiative and get further involved, please reach out to the Class Coordinator Director, Dan Surber (Email).
