Christian Johnson is currently the Global Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Leader for GE Energy Management. This unit is GE’s electrification and automation business, with over $7B in annual revenue and 30,000+ employees. His business EHS team, together with GE’s new OneEHS shared service, is responsible for all EHS aspects of the business. Christian has over 22 years of professional experience, including the last 15 with GE.
Christian started his GE career at Corporate Headquarters as an ergonomist / health and safety manager supporting all GE businesses. He then moved through 3 other EHS leadership roles in GE businesses prior to his current assignment.
Prior to GE, Christian held ergonomics, health, and safety roles with Honda of America Manufacturing in Ohio and IBM Corporation in San Jose, California. He holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Industrial Engineering from Virginia Tech. Christian is a Certified Industrial Hygienist, and a Certified Safety Professional.
