(January 27, 2016)  Associate Professor Dr. Zhenyu "James" Kong’s paper has been given a honorable mention designation in the 2016 Best Applications Paper Award Competition of the IIE Transactions Focused Issue on Quality and Reliability Engineering. The paper, “High-dimensional Process Monitoring and Change Point Detection Using Embedding Distributions in Reproducing Kernel Hilbert Space (RKHS),” was co-authored by Dr. Shuai Huang from the University of Washington-Seattle, and Dr. Wenzhen Huang from the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth.

Dr. Kong and his co-authors have been invited to present their paper as a part of the IIE Transactions Best Papers session at the ISERC (Industrial and Systems Engineering Research Conference), which will be held at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim, CA, May 21- 24, 2016.
