(April 29, 2016)  ISE Ph.D. student Greg Purdy received the 2016 Outstanding Graduate Student Leader award, given by Virginia Tech Student Centers and Activities. The award was conferred at the annual University Student Leadership Awards ceremony on April 28.  According to the award description, selection for the Outstanding Graduate Student Leader is based upon academic achievement and overall leadership and service within the Virginia Tech community. Purdy has had various leadership roles and position during his time at VT, including serving as the president of Graduate Student Assembly (GSA) last year.
