Mr. Marlow B. Hicks

Marlow Hicks has built exceptional career leading operation/engineering organizations in assignments in five countries and five industries. He is a seasoned operation’s executive with over 25 years of experience in medical devices, diagnostics, pharmaceutical, engineering, and laboratory management. His managerial experiences encompass leading organizations from the bulk, fill and finishing manufacturing arena, to design/construction of major pharmaceutical/manufacturing and research facilities. In addition to his line management background, he has held leadership roles in the employee customer service side of the business. In these assignments, Marlow has led the organization to increase operating profits, attain higher efficiencies, and achieve improved employee moral and teamwork. He ran the Asia Manufacturing Operations, for Almatis, a global company engaged in the sale, manufacturing, and distribution of alumina. In this role, while living in China, he led the manufacturing organizations in Japan, China, and India which produce products distribution in the Eastern/Southern half of the world. He spent over 15 years with Abbott Laboratories in positions with progressively more responsibilities. Currently, he holds the position of VP of Operations for NMS Labs.
A licensed professional engineer, Marlow holds a B.A. degree in engineering from Dartmouth College and an M.S. degree in engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. In addition to his professional assignments, Marlow has held a number of leadership positions in professional and community organizations. He represented Abbott on the Executive Board of AMIE (Advancing Minorities Interest in Engineering). He held the position of Chair of the BBN (Black Business Network) Executive Board and is a member of the Industry and System Engineering Advisory Board at Virginia Tech. Early in his career, Marlow held a Board position on the Lake County Youth Conservation Corp.
