Ms. Courtney C. Anderson
Leader of People & Culture Strategy, Grant Thornton, LLP
Courtney Anderson is the leader of Grant Thornton’s People & Culture strategy. In this role she is responsible for creating a differentiated culture for all of her Grant Thornton teammates that sets apart their employment experience from any other professional services firm. Prior to this role, Courtney directly supported the CEO in launching Grant Thornton’s culture journey, which he has declared as his top priority during his tenure.
Courtney joined Grant Thornton in 2007, where she spent six years as a management consultant for the federal government. In this time, she helped Grant Thornton’s public sector practice stand up their business process reengineering service line, which included establishing an internal six sigma training regimen. This work served as the foundation for Courtney’s Six Sigma Black Belt certification, issued by the American Society for Quality (ASQ).
Prior to Grant Thornton, Courtney worked at Hubbell Lighting as part of their Office of Manufacturing Engineering. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) with a minor in Business from Virginia Tech. In addition to being a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, she is also a Project Management Professional (PMP). She currently resides in Charlotte, North Carolina with her husband, Richard (a fellow Virginia Tech ISE graduate) and two sons, Witten and Wyant.
