Increasingly, Engineers must adopt a global perspective in order to be effective. This 33-credit hour program is designed to have a core offering in Industrial and Systems Engineering within a global context. Virginia Tech and Ecole des Mines des Nantes have complimentary curricula and research programs and thus offer interested students a unique opportunity to receive both the Master’s of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech and the Diplôme de Formation Spécialisée in Génie des Systèmes Industriels from Ecole des Mines de Nantes.

Structure of Curriculum

Students are expected to spend at least one semester of coursework at each institution. The thesis can be performed at either of the schools. The program requires the following plan of study:

Type of CourseCredits
Common Core18 credits
